1. Scope

This License applies to the proprietary Sekura JS software distributed by
Jupiter Soft, including:

- the `sekura-js` compiler;
- the `sekura-sjv` verification tool;
- the `sekura-sjs` Visual Studio Code extension;
- associated executable files, libraries, resources, documentation, and other
materials distributed as part of Sekura JS,

except for third-party components that are subject to their own license terms.

The source code of Sekura JS is not distributed under this License unless
expressly stated otherwise by Jupiter Soft.

2. Authorized Use

A person or organization that has lawfully obtained a compiled binary
distribution of Sekura JS from Jupiter Soft, from an official Jupiter Soft
source, or from another lawful recipient may use that binary distribution in
accordance with this License.

The Software may be:

- installed on systems controlled by the user;
- executed for lawful purposes;
- used by the user or organization that lawfully obtained it;
- copied as reasonably necessary for installation, deployment, backup, and
redistribution permitted by this License.

The Software is licensed, not sold.

No ownership rights in Sekura JS are transferred under this License.

3. Source Code

This License does not grant access to the source code of Sekura JS.

Unless Jupiter Soft expressly provides source code under a separate written
license or agreement, no right is granted to:

- copy the source code;
- modify or adapt the source code;
- create derivative works from the source code;
- publish the source code;
- distribute or redistribute the source code;
- sublicense the source code.

If source code or source fragments become available without an accompanying
express license grant, their availability alone does not grant permission to
use, copy, modify, publish, or distribute them.

4. Modification

Modification of the distributed Software is not permitted unless expressly
authorized by Jupiter Soft under a separate written agreement or license.

This restriction includes modification of:

- executable files;
- libraries;
- packaged extensions;
- distributed resources;
- other proprietary components supplied as part of Sekura JS.

5. Copying and Redistribution

Unmodified binary copies of the Software may be copied and redistributed to
third parties.

Redistribution is permitted only if:

- the redistributed binary files are not modified;
- this License remains available with the redistributed Software;
- applicable copyright and other notices are preserved;
- the redistributor does not claim ownership of Sekura JS;
- the redistributor does not grant rights beyond those provided by this License;
- the Software is not represented as a modified, independently certified, or
separately authorized build of Jupiter Soft.

A redistributor does not become an authorized representative, agent, reseller,
partner, or distributor of Jupiter Soft merely by redistributing an unmodified
binary under this License.

Each lawful recipient uses the Software under this License and not under
additional license rights purportedly granted by the redistributor.

Modification and distribution of modified Sekura JS binaries are prohibited
unless separately authorized in writing by Jupiter Soft.

6. Verification of Distributed Binaries

Recipients of redistributed binary copies are responsible for verifying the
authenticity and integrity of the Software before relying on it as an authentic
Jupiter Soft distribution.

Jupiter Soft may publish cryptographic hash values for official Sekura JS binary
distributions on `sekura.world` or through other official Jupiter Soft sources.

A recipient should compare the cryptographic hash of a received binary with the
corresponding hash published through an official Jupiter Soft source.

Permission to redistribute an unmodified binary does not constitute a
representation by Jupiter Soft that a particular copy obtained from a third
party is authentic, intact, or identical to an official Jupiter Soft
distribution.

7. Reverse Engineering

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the user may not:

- reverse engineer the Software;
- disassemble the Software;
- decompile the Software;
- attempt to reconstruct or derive its source code;
- modify its executable representation;
- circumvent technical measures intended to protect the Software or its internal
implementation.

Nothing in this section restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under
mandatory applicable law.

8. User-Created Inputs, Outputs, and Artifacts

Jupiter Soft does not claim ownership of user-created source files, data, or
output artifacts solely because they are created, compiled, generated, signed,
processed, or verified using Sekura JS.

These artifacts may include Sekura JS compiler outputs such as `.sasm`, `.sdef`,
`.sobj`, and `.smod` files, as well as SJP artifacts created, signed, processed,
or verified using Sekura JS tools.

Rights in these files are determined by the applicable relationships and
agreements between their creators, users, customers, employers, contracting
parties, and other applicable rights holders.

This section does not transfer or grant rights in Sekura JS, any pre-existing
Jupiter Soft software or materials, or third-party components that may be
included in, bundled with, or emitted as part of an artifact. Any such materials
remain subject to their applicable license terms.

The ability to create, compile, generate, sign, process, distribute, or verify
an artifact does not grant any rights in the proprietary Sekura JS software
itself.

9. Third-Party Components

Sekura JS may incorporate, link to, bundle, or depend on third-party software.

Third-party components remain subject to their respective license terms.

Applicable third-party licenses and notices may be documented separately,
including in `THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md`.

Nothing in this License replaces, overrides, limits, expands, or modifies the
license terms applicable to third-party software.

Where the terms applicable to a third-party component differ from this License,
the applicable third-party license governs that component.

10. No Implied Rights

Except for the limited rights expressly granted by this License, all rights in
and to Sekura JS are reserved by Jupiter Soft.

No rights in source code, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, modifications,
derivative works, sublicensing, or other intellectual property are granted by
implication, estoppel, or otherwise.

11. Trademarks and Names

This License does not grant permission to use the names, trademarks, logos, or
branding of Jupiter Soft or Sekura JS except as reasonably necessary to identify
the Software.

Redistribution of an unmodified binary does not authorize the redistributor to
represent itself as affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Jupiter
Soft.

12. Disclaimer of Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided "AS
IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express,
implied, statutory, or otherwise.

Jupiter Soft does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted,
error-free, suitable for any particular purpose, compatible with any particular
system, or free from defects.

The user is responsible for determining whether the Software is appropriate for
the intended use.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits warranties or rights that cannot
lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jupiter Soft shall not be
liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or similar
damages arising from the use of, redistribution of, or inability to use the
Software.

Nothing in this License excludes or limits liability to the extent that such
exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

14. Governing Law

This License is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to this License shall be resolved in
accordance with the applicable laws and procedures of the Republic of
Kazakhstan.

15. Separate Licenses and Future Versions

Jupiter Soft may distribute future versions, editions, components, services,
source code, commercial offerings, or other materials under separate license
terms.

Such separate terms apply only to the software or services for which they are
expressly provided and do not modify this License for other versions or
distributions.

The existence of a separate license for a future version does not automatically
change the license applicable to a version already distributed under this
License.

16. Additional License Files

A component directory may contain an additional license or notice file.

Unless that file expressly establishes different license terms authorized by
Jupiter Soft, it should be interpreted consistently with this License and does
not independently grant broader rights in proprietary Sekura JS software.

Before public distribution, any such additional license file, including
`sekura-sjs/LICENSE`, should be checked for consistency with this root License.

Nothing in this section affects separate licenses applicable to third-party
components.

17. Entire License

This License states the rights granted by Jupiter Soft for the proprietary
Sekura JS components covered by it.

No additional rights are granted except by an express written license or
agreement issued or authorized by Jupiter Soft.

Third-party components remain governed by their own applicable licenses
regardless of this License.
